I’ve assembled several wooden mechanical puzzles, and aside from the Orpheus Robot, this one is definitely my favorite. It’s beautifully designed and has a delightful whimsical charm. The instructions may seem daunting at first, but they are accurate if you take the time to read them closely. Some pieces are quite delicate, so be gentle when popping them out of the wood sheets and while connecting them to other pieces. (Extra pieces are provided just in case.) Occasionally, it might look like parts don’t fit together, but with a bit of wiggling, they will. I used wood glue on all the joints and stained the sheets before removing the pieces to achieve a darker finish. I’m absolutely in love with it!
